As well as a lighting plan, I also need to develop a lighting schedule. This document is mainly for the lighting designer and the board op. The schedule includes every fixture that is being used on the plan and its position on the plan. It will have DMX address for each automated light plus the channels of each fixture which will be patched into the desk. During the production week, lighting crew will write down the dimmer address of each fixture on this document to help the lighting operator to patch the desk. This document can also include notes like accessories, focus notes, weights of each fixture to help with bar weight plus the power that each fixture pulls to ensure there is enough power in the venue to supply the lighting design. To help me develop this schedule I looked at 'Performance Lighting Design' by Nick Moran (2007) which includes some lighting schedules developed by other lighting designers in the industry. From looking at this book I was able to develop a lighting schedule with elements from the patching sheets that were included in this book, making a lighting schedule that fitted me and way of working.
